Awaiting Installation FAQ

You can expect a call from someone in our installations team within 14 working days of placing your order to book your installation date. We will always try to accommodate you.

You will be given either an AM slot, between 9 am and 1 pm 

OR a PM slot, between 2 and 5 pm.

You will get an email confirmation with the date and time.

No worries, as long as it is more than 24 hours before your installation is due to happen, we can reschedule you. Just call our installation team on 01 211 86 53 and press option 4. 

Unfortunately, if our engineer arrives and no-one is there to meet them, then you will be charged a €30 missed installation fee.

The Installer is usually at the property for around 30–90 minutes. This gives them time to test all the wireless options available in the area and do multiple tests. This is to ensure you are left with the best possible service.

Once all outstanding balances are paid, and you have received your confirmation and contract, we will have sent the SIM for activation. This can take up to 24 hours to complete. If this time has passed, and you still have no service, please turn off the router and turn it back on.

It is normal for wireless broadband speeds to fluctuate. This can be down to several reasons/causes such as congestion, a mast issue, server weather etc. We will do everything we can to try to help improve your speeds.

While we take the remaining balance before your trial starts (set-up/activation fee and first month upfront plus any additional accessories), we will issue a refund if you change your mind and decided not to continue. You will be refunded everything bar a small data charge, which is just what you used while testing the equipment.

We would usually recommend keeping your current provider until you are sure you are happy with the new set-up from Rural WiFi. We would recommend you unplug the other provider’s router while you test ours, just so you get clear and accurate testing done within your trial.

Yes, our engineer will leave you with the best set-up for your location, as well as any accessories that may have been left already set up for you. If the engineer doesn’t have the stock, we will send it out from our head office and your trial will only start when you receive it.
