Installation service prices start at €80. We require a payment of €50 upfront, and then the remaining balance will be taken only after the installation is completed successfully. *This includes the first month, the initial setup fee, and the remaining balance for the callout fee.

On the day of the installation, the engineer will identify and document the average speed that he achieves. If you are happy with these speeds, the installer will complete the installation. The process typically takes between 45 and 90 minutes. Our You will then enter your 14-day trial period, allowing you to test our service risk-free before making any further commitments.

You can expect a call from someone in our installations team within 14 working days after placing your order to get your install date booked in. We will always try to accommodate you.

You will be given either an AM slot (between 9am and 1pm) OR a PM slot (between 2pm and 5pm).

You will get an email confirmation with the date and time.

Call our installation team on 01 211 86 53 and press option 4.

Once it is over 24 hours, we can reschedule you. If you don’t let us know and the engineer goes out, you will be charged a €30 missed installation fee.

The Installer is usually at the property for around 30–90 minutes. This gives them time to test all the wireless options available in the area and do multiple tests. This is to ensure you are left with the best possible service.

To activate the service, you will have to pay the remaining balance due. Once this is done, and you have received your confirmation and contract, we will have sent the SIM for activation. This can take up to 24 hours to complete. If this time has passed, and you still have no service, please turn off the router and turn it back on.

It is normal for wireless broadband speeds to fluctuate. This can be down to several reasons/ causes such as congestion, a mast issue, server weather etc. We will do everything we can to try to help improve your speeds.

We take the remaining balance before your trial starts. This would usually be your set-up/activation and first month upfront at least. If you were left with any additional accessories, this would also be taken. Don’t worry though, If you choose to cancel we will refund everything bar a small data charge which is just what you used while testing the equipment.

We would usually recommend keeping your current provider until you are sure you are happy with the new set-up from Rural Wi-Fi. We would recommend you unplug the other provider’s router while you test ours, just so you get clear and accurate testing done within your trial.

Yes, our engineer will leave you with the best setup for your location, as well as any accessories that may have been left already set up for you. If the engineer doesn’t have the stock, we will send it out from our head office and your trial will only start when you receive it.

Experience speeds of up to 150 Mbps, depending on your proximity to the nearest mast and your choice of a panel antenna. Please note that actual speeds can vary throughout the day due to network congestion.

If the router alone provides sufficient speed (100+ Mbps), there are no additional charges, and installation may be quicker. We only install an antenna when necessary to enhance your connection.

If an antenna is required and significantly improves your broadband speed, there is an additional charge of €99. You can choose to pay this upfront or split it over three months.

If a Smart Home Wi-Fi System, such as the MW3 or MW6, is necessary and significantly enhances your broadband speed, there is an additional charge. The MW3 option costs €94.95, while the MW6 costs €174.95. You have the flexibility to pay this amount upfront or split it over three months.

Ok, I'm only 2 days into my deal with Rural WiFi, but so far so excellent. The customer service is excellent, phone answered in less than a minute, all staff know what they are talking about, installation happened 10 days earlier than advised, Pat the installer from Clonmel I think, was brilliant. Most importantly, broadband working perfectly, installation cost is a bit on the high side,but monthly cost is about normal. It's early days and I'll report back when my 14 day cooling off period is up, but so far, Rural WiFi have been a pleasure to deal with, please don't make me eat my words !!!

I don't usually write reviews but I would like to share my positive experience I have had and still have with Rural Wifi. I had little to no reception in a very rural area. It was very frustrating. I dared to try out the Rural Wifi equipment having been advised and guided by the staff there as to the possibilities. The installation and connection was easy peasy. What a difference! Although it's not going to be equivalent to a super speedy fast conventional broadband (which of course is not available yet here which is the reason for using Rural Wifi) it is fast enough enough for mails, Internet, and even to my joy Netflix! I watch netflix using apple tv and it works seamlessly. The communication with all the staff was nothing short of brilliant. Thank you,
