Can I switch broadband packages?

Yes, switching broadband provider is quick and easy. You could save hundreds of euro by switching to a better suited broadband solution tailored to you.

Remember all broadband providers charge an early termination fee if you cancel during your contract’s minimum term. Some also require you to give 30 days notice to cancel, so you’ll need to do this to ensure you’re not billed for the product after you’ve switched.

What is the speed of the broadband service?

Up to 150Mb broadband speeds, or possibly higher.

No speed is guaranteed with Broadband as speed will vary throughout the day. On the day of your installation the engineers will show you the maximum speeds you will receive. The Normally Available Speed that you could expect to receive most of the time when accessing your broadband service is 80% of your Maximum Speed for download and upload.

How does this service work?

In order to deliver High-Performance Broadband to your home we will need to install a small unit under the eaves of your home or on the chimney stack. This unit is about the size of an alarm box, they will run a cable from this to the nearest electricity socket. A small hole is drilled and the cables run through and connected to the wireless router. There is 2 LAN (Local Area Network) for direct connections on the back of the router and one for you to connect your phone.

Is the service compatible with my monitored alarm?

Yes. Your alarm needs to be reconnected from the previous phone line to the new 5G ready fixed broadband phone service. Please contact your monitored alarm provider to switch this over

Who can speak on my behalf?

You can nominate a named contact on your account who can speak on your behalf at any time, just send us in a letter signed by yourself or an email from the registered email address on your account.

What is my data allowance per month?

The service is unlimited, subject to a fair usage policy of 1TB per month. This means that in a single month you’d have to stream 416 Netflix videos of 90 minutes each to hit 1TB of usage. Got four people in your family? You’d each need to watch 104 videos per month, or more than five hours of Netflix every day. 

I'm moving house, can I take the service with me?

Yes, once your new address is in our coverage area, we can arrange for your equipment to be moved. Our engineers will uninstall the equipment from your previous address and re-install it at your new home.

Is it unlimited?

Yes, the service is unlimited, subject to a fair usage policy of 1TB per month. This means that in a single month you’d have to stream 416 Netflix videos of 90 minutes each to hit 1TB of usage. Can I get a Static/Fixed IP?

IP addresses are dynamically assigned to your service with a hold-time of 24 hours, meaning that a CPE will retain its dynamic IP address indefinitely as long as that CPE is not disconnected from the network for a period longer than 24 hours. (Unplugged for a period over 24 hours). Fixed I.P addresses are available after install upon request to installer.

How does the phone service work?

Your home phone’s connection simply plugs into the back of your router. The phone calls you make are converted into internet data. Your voice service is built into the equipment and is a free add-on. It is up to you whether to use the phone or not.

Can I get broadband without the house phone service?

We do not offer a package without the phone service. The VOIP service is built into the equipment and is a free add-on. It is up to you whether to use the phone or not.

What date is the monthly payment taken from my account?

Payment is due the 17th of every month. If the 17th falls on the weekend or a bank holiday your account will be debited the next working day.

Can Power line adapters work if they are separated by different electric circuits?

No. If they can pair in the same room, but the power line LED turns off when you move one power line device to another area, this usually means they are plugged into separate electrical circuits, preventing them from communicating.

Should I cancel my existing telecom provider before my service is installed?

No – You should wait until your service is successfully installed but you can give them your 30 days’ notice if needed.
